DISCOVERING GOD’S DEEP LOVE

A Gospel Tract Especially for Today

(including why Christianity prevails)

Friends and Choices –

Rachel asked her friend Ryan, “Hey, want to come to a Bible study with me?” to which he replied, “Well, I’m not so sure Christianity is the only road to heaven. And I’m probably fine without getting into spiritual stuff.”

Rachel drew a picture of a large heart encircling a cross. “Oh my gosh, at least let me tell you the basic message of the Bible so you’ll be informed, okay?” Ryan stretched out on a bench. “Go for it, Rachel. I’ll give you ten minutes!” She smiled and began, “Okay, sooooo….

Message of the Cross –

The first verse in the Bible says that in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. In the second chapter, God created Adam and Eve.1 He created people to love them, and He gave them free will so they could voluntarily love Him back.2

Adam and Eve lived in harmony with God for a season. But in the third chapter, Adam sinned against (disobeyed) God. As a result, sin and death entered the entire human race.3 And the final destination of all people would not be heaven, but a place of eternal punishment.4

However…. God is merciful and loving! At just the right time in history, He sent His sinless, righteous Son to earth to restore our relationship with Him.5

“This is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son [Jesus Christ], so that everyone who believes in him will not perish [die] but have eternal life.”6

As the long-predicted Messiah, Jesus took the penalty for our sins [wrongdoings] by His crucifixion. He shed His blood on a Roman cross in 33 AD—a total universe-rocking event demonstrating God’s love for us.7 Then on the third day after His death and burial, Jesus miraculously rose again to life. That’s the Gospel!8

God’s Matchless Love –

And get this! When Jesus walked up the hill to die on the cross at Calvary, He had YOU on his heart and mind—and all people. He wanted to welcome us into heaven someday to live with holy God.9 But He knew we could not free ourselves from our sins without Him.10

(Jesus said:) “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”11

The cross of Christ bridged the gap between God and man. Our Savior conquered sin and death, reconciling us to God.12

Now anyone can enter a personal relationship with God by responding to His invitation. And throughout eternity, nothing will separate believers from God’s love!13

Christianity Prevails –

In reply to the “one road to God” question…. Here’s a summary of what sets Christianity apart from religious systems and forms of spirituality. First, eternal salvation is a free gift from God.14 We are saved by God’s amazing grace (divine favor) alone.15 Consider also:

  • Christianity is the MOST LOVING faith. Jesus sacrificed His life to offer us eternal life and demonstrate His love for us.
  • Christianity is the MOST HUMBLE faith. Christians must humbly admit there’s nothing we could do on our own to get to heaven.
  • Christianity is the MOST IMPORTANT faith. Jesus connects us with the true and living God so we can live forever with Him.16
  • Christianity has the MOST EVIDENCE supporting it. It is based on the historicity of the Bible and Jesus Christ, His resurrection, and His fulfilled prophecies. (For more evidence, see footnote 17.)

Jesus Christ rules, reigns, and rocks! Are you willing to come to the Cross to start a relationship with God through Jesus? And to experience God’s deep love for you? Even now, He says “I have loved you with an everlasting love.”18

To respond to God’s loving call and receive salvation, here’s a suggested prayer:

“Dear God, thank You for Your deep love for me and for sending Your Son to redeem me. I believe He died on the Cross for my sins and rose from the dead to give me eternal life. Jesus, please forgive me for my sins. I trust You as my Savior and Lord, and I receive You into my life. Amen.”

Growing in God’s Love –

If you sincerely prayed to receive Jesus in your life, welcome to the family of God!19 Now you can pursue the fulfilling plan He has for you. To walk closely with Him, read the Bible and pray regularly. Also, connect with a solid Bible-teaching church to be encouraged and to discover God’s deep love and grace!
